WHISKERS POINT, B.C.: On August 12th we drove from Robson Mountain to Whiskers Point Provincial Park, where we camped right on the McLeod Lake. The dock shown below offered me an hour or more of relaxation and journal writing. Pure calm & quiet. It was wonderful. We walked around the Queen's Cup trail (named after a white flowered plant in this area) and saw evidence of bear and deer along the trail.

SIKANNI RIVER RESORT, B.C.: The morning of August 13th, we awoke to fog on Lake McLeod and had some coffee thanks to packets we took from our Banff room. We drove Northwest towards the town of St. John and this is where we jumped on the Alaska Highway (Hwy 97). We ate at a little truck stop and filled with gas and drove until we reached Sikanni River RV & Cabin Resort along the side of the highway. We rented the cutest little cabin by the nicest hostess. She even had 1980 B-Flix movies on VHS for us to watch in our room so we got some "scary" B-Flix *my fav* and watched and laughed. Sometimes those movies are better than a good Stephen Spielberg movie! I know many of you would disagree. :)
